Hello, I am Udaya and I hail from Visakhapatnam, India. I am a crazy (“the good kind”) scientist greatly fascinated by technology-driven science. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. at Virginia Tech. My research interests lie in translational medicine, with my doctorate work focused on developing new microfluidic devices for faster and effective diagnosis of the infectious disease states in immunocompromised patients. In the long run, I am interested in extending the usability of these engineering tools to address the challenges in personalized medicine. In my free time, I love to hip hop to new beats and I enjoy tasting different cuisines of food.
