Teaching Philosophy Overview

Teaching to me is a continuously evolving process in which I focus on being flexible and responsive to students’ needs to hone the skills necessary to thrive in today’s world and beyond. My teaching objectives include promoting critical thinking, helping students develop expertise in the subject matter, and creating an inclusive environment and a sense of community in the classroom. I value feedback from students and seek it in a variety of ways to make sure that the learning experience is a two-way communication process.

Teaching Assistantship Experience

CEE 4674 Airport Planning and Design

I served as a teaching assistant for CEE 4674 for two semesters; Fall 2019 and Fall 2020. Duties included grading and holding office hours to assist students in working through homework problems. It is important to me to help students in their learning progress individually, I make sure to provide the necessary tools to help each student depending on where they are in their learning journey to achieve the learning objectives of the class.
