Well I guess you found my e-portfolio, so welcome. I am Remy Wehbe, a third year Ph.D. students at Virginia Tech majoring in Electrical Engineering. My Research focuses on the study of autonomous multi robot systems, their behavior, how they coordinate, and how to keep them secure. I am going to settle with this brief description for now, so check out the research section where I bore you to tears with more details, its interesting stuff. As you can tell, I hope, I am an outgoing person that values a good joke, I was born and raised in Lebanon where I completed my undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering. After graduating as faculty valedictorian, I decided to pursue my Ph.D. in the United states and was lucky enough to find a position in the CAS Lab under the guidance of Dr. Ryan Williams.
Getting a Ph.D. in the United States opens so many doors, especially for someone who comes from such a small country. So, to be completely honest, what the future holds is still up in the air. I have always been passionate about teaching and becoming a future professor has always been at the top of my list. On the other side of the spectrum, joining industry is another option where I get to work on real life engineering projects that have a huge impact on our lives as we know it.
As a student, I take my research very seriously, however, I also enjoy doing outdoorsy activities. Its all about finding the right balance. Primarily I love to ski, hunt and do calisthenics. I’m afraid of heights yet I have been skydiving and will definitely do it again, an irony I haven’t fully understood yet.
