One of the creations that inspires me is the EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum. This building is one of the Seattle’s landmarks, it is what every tourist would have to visit in order to say they have been to Seattle. The EMP encourages me to think about theme and concepts when designing a building. The motif behind this museum is that music and culture is constantly evolving. I really like the use of materials, the modern design and the theme behind the museum. EMP Museum displays the energy and fluidity of music through a fusion of various colors and textures. Every panel, shaped stainless steel and painted aluminum shingles, has its own response to light so they appear to be changing when view from different angels. I really appreciate a building that has a solid concept along with an unique way of using materials in the design.
