Alphie Rodriguez


Alphie considers herself first and foremost an educator. She has done obesity prevention work before and now works to create more accessible farmer’s markets and integrate healthy food into corner stores. She takes an interest in the cultural and political aspects of food and health, and connects this to her personal life experiences. She shares the ins and outs of what it took to bring healthy food to corner stores in western North Carolina, and the realizations she and others had along the way. Her passion to serve others through her work shines through in her story.
