Social justice advocacy in medical education: A student perspective

Watch Rebecca J. Hester moderate a discussion with three matriculated students at Virginia Tech Carillion Medical School talking about the challenges of and opportunities for social justice advocacy in medical school.

Our next event will be March 26: “Refugee mental health.” This event will feature health workers who support refugees in Roanoke and Blacksburg. It will discuss the importance of mental health, especially trauma-informed care, when considering the health of displaced populations.
