The first university that I want to review its mission is Stanford University, CA, USA. They described the history of the university. It was very interesting for me, because, The first university that I want to review its mission is Stanford University, CA, USA.Leland and Jane Stanford created this university for the memory of their son.
In addition, I saw that each school has own mission statement. This means that each school can follow its field, and the president of the university cannot push them to follow his/her missions. It helps the faculties to do the research related to their interesting fields.
2- CALTECH
The second university that I want to review its missions is CALTECH, CA, USA.
“The mission of the California Institute of Technology is to expand human knowledge and benefit society through research integrated with education. We investigate the most challenging, fundamental problems in science and technology in a singularly collegial, interdisciplinary atmosphere, while educating outstanding students to become creative members of society” [http://www.caltech.edu/content/mission-statement]
Its missions was very short and they did not talk about their research fields and etc. I believe that they need to present their missions about their research and educational goals in depth.
