About Meg



Meg Bohmke was elected to the Stafford County Board of Supervisors in November 2013. She is the current Vice Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.  She has served on the Public Safety Committee for four years, serves on the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (FAMPO), is chairman of the Infrastructure Committee and also served on the By-Laws Committee. 

Meg previously served on the Stafford County School Board from 2010 to 2013.  She and her family have lived in the Falmouth District for 20 years.  Meg worked in the public finance profession for 13 years structuring municipal bond financings for public entities in California.  She was the finance coordinator for the Rappahannock Area Regional Adult Education program for eight years.

Meg served on the Stafford County Park & Recreation Commission and the Head Start Policy Council, both as the School Board liaison when on the Stafford County School Board.  She was the Regional Commonwealth Governor’s School Chairman of the Board for two years and a member of the board for four years.

She was appointed to serve, as a lay member, on the Sixth District Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Committee.

Meg received her Bachelor of Science degree in the College of Education from Florida State University in 1981. Over the last two years she received her Leadership award for the County Supervisor Governance Leadership certification program through the Virginia Association of Counties.   

She is a past elder in The Fredericksburg Presbyterian Church and a former Sunday School teacher for the youth and adult classes.   Meg and her husband Dave have three children.
