Please join us to attend this panel at the Asian Cultural Engagement Center (Room 140 Squires) or by Zoom (preregister to get Zoom link, QR code on flier) at 6 pm on Tuesday 19 April 2022. A chapter co-advisor, Dr. Carola Haas, will be moderating a panel of VT faculty and alums including a former president of our MANRRS chapter, to discuss experiences of Asian Pacific Islander Desi Americans in agriculture and natural resources. There will be food! Please spread the word and bring a friend! Click on the image to enlarge.
Our next meeting will be held in 1810 Litton-Reaves, from 4:30 to 6 pm on Tuesday November 9th. We’ll have several of our graduate students practicing elevator pitches about their research or proposed research projects. It will be an opportunity for them to practice public speaking with a friendly audience (contact Dr. Haas if you’re a grad student and you want to speak–cahaas AT vt(dot)edu). It will also be an opportunity for undergraduates to learn about what sort of research opportunities are available. We plan to have an ambassador from the Office of Undergraduate Research to talk about how to get involved!
We also plan to have some time to talk about the organization and to get involved in some of our committees. Please bring your ideas for community service and fundraisers! We really appreciated the enthusiasm and engagement last week! We look forward to seeing everyone in November!
