Welcome to my personal Website on VT.edu.
On this page, you will learn about me as a technologist and my professional career as a technology manager for some of the well-known nonprofit organizations in the Washington, D.C. area, including six years of IT leadership overseas managing the business and technology process of an offset printing manufacturer. Before we dive deep into my professional career, I do a few things to keep my knowledge thought process sharp.
I love the outdoors. Outdoors to me consist of two things, lots of nature, and the asphalt/concrete. Nature aspect of the outdoors comes naturally as I have always loved near-by parks and lakes for freshwater fishing. The asphalt or the concrete pathway is where I put my sneakers to work and run a few miles to keep my health intact.
Aside from the daily routine of reading journals, tweets, and a few articles on facebook–I enjoy a good nonfiction book, especially those of leadership and management. My favorite recent book has been Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life by William H. McRaven, a Navy Commander. Always look for recommendations from friends.
With a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, I have recently enrolled in the MIT program at Virginia Tech seeking to expand on my leadership and management skillsets to help nonprofit organizations enable technology stack(s) to improve processes and project management.
