COMMON GROUND – Interfaith Leadership Training for Students
The perfect experience if you’re interested in building your capacity to be an interfaith leader. Interfaith leaders work to promote constructive dialogue and build relationships among people from diverse religious, spiritual, and secular worldviews. They also engage people across lines of difference in social action for the common good.
The Common Ground – Interfaith Leadership Training was designed and implemented in 2020 by Dr. Najla Mouchrek (Dean of Students Office) as part of the Interfaith Program at Virginia Tech. Supported by a Campus Innovation Grant from the Interfaith Youth Core and directed, the training was open to graduate and undergraduate students.
The first cohort of Common Ground Student Leaders completed their year-long training. Watch the video below to learn about their Statement of Beliefs. Stay tuned! We will have new cohorts in the upcoming academic years.
