I am Native of Finland pursuing a PhD at the department of Dairy Science at Virginia Tech. My BSc. is in biochemistry and MSc. in biochemistry with emphasis on protein science from University of Oulu, Finland. My academic passion lies in the field of immunology and microbiology.

My current research concentrates on host immune responses of cows to Staphylococcus aureus in the research group of D. Isis Kanevsky-Mullarky.

The spreading of information in the form of teaching is important to me. Especially effective communication of complex topics in science is something I desire to master.
