Educational Technology Research and Development Journal is the top journal publication for instructional design and technology in educational settings. The Journal is owned by an International organization known as the Association for Educational Communication and Technology (AECT). The AECT is the oldest professional home for instructional designers and has other journals asides from this particular Journal called the ETRD. The Journal is a bi-monthly publication of the AECT that focuses entirely on research and development in educational technology.
The Research sections focus on the quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method studies on topics related to the applications of technology or instructional design in educational settings.
The development method focuses on the researches that have planning, implementation, evaluation, and management of various instructional technologies and learning environments.
