Initial Certification Course – Hybrid

The Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad hosts an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) initial certification courses each spring, fall, and occasionally during the summer. Emergency Medical Technicians or EMTs provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system.

This is a hybrid EMT course that utilizes the MyBradyLab online learning system. Students should anticipate spending at least four hours per week doing online work in addition to class time. Students will need to be disciplined and motivated.

Applications for the Fall 2019 Hybrid EMT course open on July 22nd, 2019 at 9:00 AM. Application deadline is August 2nd at 5:00 PM.
