Carilion New River Valley Medical Center Inpatient Pharmacy, located approximately 15 minutes from Virginia Tech campus, is currently recruiting undergraduate Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior students who are looking to pursue a career in the pharmacy or medical field. The position is an internship within the Emergency Department (ED) working directly with a clinical pharmacist and performing medication histories for all ED patients. Candidates should be prepared to work in an ED environment which involves traumas and other significant medical conditions.

Candidates must be willing to work evening shifts from 5 to 10 pm at least one to two weekdays each week and every other weekend (8 hour shifts-rotating day and evening shifts) during both Fall and Spring semesters. Preference will be given to candidates willing to work through the summers or holidays during the fall/spring semesters.
