The Pre-Dental Club at Virginia Tech is hosting its first annual

5K Miles For Smiles! 

All proceeds are going to benefit the New River Valley Free Dental Clinic in Giles County.  Giles County has approximately 13.8% of its residents living in poverty. The Giles center our club aims to be benefiting was established in 2007 and aims to provide healthcare to those who are uninsured, as well as those insured by Medicare and Medicaid and private insurances. With the poverty rates and the county being an underserved area, many people are unable to afford dental insurance, let alone dental care.  The clinic offers a variety of treatments such as X-rays, fillings, cleanings, and much more!  Please support us in our efforts to aid in the betterment of the community and uphold our Hokie Values of Ut Prosim!

The race will be taking place on April 30th at 9:30 AM.  The race will be held at the Meredith Buford Cross Country Course (on campus).  Registration can be completed online prior to the race date following the link provided.  Registration and check in on race day will begin at 8 AM. T-shirts will be provided to all members that pre-register for the race online before April 14th!  T-shirts will be distributed at the race for registrants that morning on a first come, first serve basis.
