Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) Ambassador program and paid summer peer mentor program

Are you passionate about undergraduate research? Want to share that passion with other students?

The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is now accepting applications for its 2016-17 Ambassador program AND for paid summer peer mentor positions.

Ambassadors Program: The OUR ambassadors are the “face” of the office, disseminating information about undergraduate research and the OUR and facilitating key services offered by the office. Ideal candidates will have had undergraduate research experience in any discipline and must be reliable, organized, personable, respectful, and exhibit excellent communication skills. Summer Peer Mentors: The OUR has four part-time student wage positions available to assist with the summer 2016 undergraduate research programs at Virginia Tech, from May 16 through July 29. Eligible applicants should be an undergraduate student or recent graduate with experience conducting undergraduate research, particularly as part of an organized STEM program (eg SURF, Scieneering, etc), excellent communication and writing skills, and outstanding organizational and people skills.
