Clinical Laboratory Science Information Sessions
Who: Augusta Health School of Clinical Laboratory Science and Virginia Commonwealth University
What: Clinical laboratory scientists are members of the health care team who run diagnostic tests on blood and body fluids in a variety of departments including hematology, clinical chemistry, blood bank, microbiology, urinalysis and immunology. The information provided by clinical laboratory scientists is used by physicians and other providers to help diagnose disease as well as to monitor and plan treatment.

Augusta Health offers a one-year post-baccalaureate hospital-based program that prepares graduates to sit for the national certification exam required for employment in the clinical laboratory.
