If you are planning to take the current version of the MCAT before the exam change in January, you should register for a test date immediately. A number of cities and even some states have already filled their seats to capacity.
We have been informed by the AAMC that they will be adding more seats for the existing November 7th test date and January test dates in some locations.
They are also adding a new test date on Saturday, December 6th, with registration for the new test date opening today.
If you have not registered for a test date, you should do so on the AAMC website.
While registration deadlines for January test dates are officially listed as December, it is very likely that all available seating will be taken prior to the official registration deadline. We recommend that you look at availability now, as you may need to consider earlier test administrations or alternate test sites in order to find a seat. Should you need to make plans to travel to another city due to limited availability at local test sites, the AAMC has also negotiated a preferred rate with Hampton Inn for test-takers.
Questions about the registration process or test site availability should be directed to the AAMC at email@example.com or by phone at (202) 828-0690 during the hours of:
9:00AM – 5:00PM EDT Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
9:00AM – 3:00PM EDT Wednesday
Please note that the AAMC indicates that emails will be replied to within 2 business days.
