Graduate Research Development Program

The GRDP is a program administered the GSA to provide monetary support for degree contingent research conducted by Virginia Tech graduate students. This funding opportunity is available to graduate students twice a year in two cycles for each academic year. Graduate Students may not receive more than one GRDP per degree program (Master’s and/or Doctorate). We have introduced this limit to allow more students to succeed in this endeavor.

If you have any questions, please contact the 2019-2020 GRDP Chair at VTGSAGRDP20192020@gmail.com

Awards

  • Up to $750 for selected Masters proposals
  • Up to $1,000 for selected Doctoral proposals

Who Can Apply?

All full-time registered graduate students enrolled at Virginia Tech are eligible to apply. Graduate Students may not receive more than one GRDP per degree program (Master’s and/or Doctorate). We have introduced this limit to allow more students to succeed in this endeavor. Assistance through the GRDP is competitive and awarded based on a review process to help ensure fair decisions.

Already won? Still want to win more money? Apply to present in our annual Graduate Student Assembly Research Symposium! We have no limits on the number of times that students can win monetary support awards in that competition.
