Demolition of buildings creates massive amounts of waste that has traditionally gone straight to the landfill. A Amsterdam based startup, StoneCycling, hopes to change that. What StoneCycling does is gather rubble from demolished buildings, grind it up, and form it into bricks for new construction. These bricks are just as strong as traditional bricks, but can be made with a large variety of colors and textures depending on the type of rubble used to make them. I think this is a really cool idea because it is a modern take on a very classic building material, that also helps reduce landfill waste.
