World Kindness Day

World Kindness Day

In a world that seems to be getting more and more divided, it can feel like there’s not much you can do.

And yet, we all know that doing small acts of kindness for strangers or people in need is one of the best ways to make the world a better place. It doesn’t take much effort, but it has an incredible impact on those around us.

The purpose of World Kindness Day, as outlined by the World Kindness Movement, is “to highlight good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness which binds us.” #VTBetterTogether

National Stress Awareness Day

National Stress Awareness Day is a sponsored event by the International Stress Management Association (ISMA), a registered charity promoting knowledge about stress, best practices for stress management, well-being, and performance that are recognized nationally and internationally.

Chronic stress is the prolonged and constant feelings of stress that can lead to life-threatening problems. From hypertension, heart diseases, decreased immunity, loss of sociability, and decreased mental vitality, stress is not to be taken lightly.

To break the chain reaction, National Stress Awareness Day is a day-long event to take a deep breath and embrace peace to break the chain reaction. The day is celebrated mid-week on Wednesday (usually the most exhausting, stressful) to remind individuals and companies that stress management is fundamental to optimum performance. #VTBetterTogether
