Shortly before the performance by Ira Glass, Reinventing Radio, on Saturday, Nov. 23, local members of the media had an opportunity to mingle with the man of the hour during a private reception, held in the Miles C. Horton Jr. Gallery at the Moss Arts Center.
Media members enjoyed snacks and beverages, provided by Personal Touch Catering, and the stunning exhibition by artist Leo Villareal, Digital Sublime, as well as some quality time with Ira Glass himself. Glass took time out to chat with all sorts of media representatives, including reporters, photographers, and staff at our local NPR affiliate, WVTF.
Opening in 2013, the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech will include: a 1,260-seat, state-of-the-art performance hall; visual arts galleries; and the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology.
