Kieran Timberlake combines the ability to have environmentally sustainable design with market-rate housing. When confronted with value engineering, many design features can be cast aside. Simple and low-cost features can include: growing vines on the south facade in conjunction with louvered systems admit suns when desired and block when it is undesired.
Kieran Timberlake also have greatly explored the idea of industrial manufacturing, from entire rooms, to structure, even down to the scale of the sub-component, such as a customizable vanity, and how these constructions can be joined and added together to create larger forms.
