I have been thinking about what kind of methods in design influence my design thinking. Therefore here is what I see as important to my architecture through a mix of my and another person’s lense.

To Glenn Murcutt, “works of architecture are discovered, not designed.” He takes the site and works to respeond to all imput. his buildings respond “to the light, to the movements of the air, to prospect, to the needs of comfort.”

It is the responsibility of the designer to see that these conditions exist on a site, and understand what is then possible, giving a certain level of respect to what has come before.

With a respect for the site, the architecture can create a space that is both a product of the site, and therefore becomes a responsible place for man.
