Beauty in Architecture
Posted on September 6th, 2012 No commentsBeauty has always been something that people chase after for throughout the history. Beauty to all of us has different meanings and different forms in various situations. In general, beauty is what one appreciates for. A little yellow flower, warm sunlight and the nice smell from the laundry could be the beauties that light up one’s day. Even a failed experience could be a kind of beauty because it helps one to grow. Whatever we appreciate for is beauty even appreciation itself. As for the architecture area, there are two different types of beauty. First is the visual pleasure. For instance, after a long day of work, you drive back to your home and the style and color of your house take all the stress away when you look at it because it suggest that it’s home sweet home. Another way for an architecture to be a beauty is to be as functional as possible. As long as it fits the purpose of the building, it’s a beauty. The “ultimate” beauty in an architecture is to both fit into the surrounding environment in style and fulfill the purpose of the building.
There’s always beauty everywhere.
