This post was extremely well written and explained. I am glad that Prof. Nelson suggested I read this post because I had previously posted about the Bolsheviks. Great job with this and thank you for the informative post and going into detail about post-1917 and Lenin’s succession a little bit.

I agree with annapope. This post was very well written and did a great job of clearing up the Bolsheviks rise to power. Also, the “White Army” has always just been this generic term that meant anyone that opposed the Bolsheviks. While this is somewhat true, I did not know that there was actually organization behind their existence. It would have been crazy to see the world if their movement would have succeeded.

What Anna said! I like the clear narrative arc of this post and the way it supports and clarifies the posts addressing the struggle of Lenin’s succession.

This post really helped to explain the complicated role of the Bolsheviks and exactly how their consolidation of power came about in those formative years from their revolution to their regime. It’s crazy to see how drastically their numbers increased in just a few years, and how they decreased just as quickly. Good citations throughout your post and well done!

Very well written. This post clarified the confusion of political competition that grew after 1917 and also compliments the blog posts on Lenin’s succession by acting as a preface.
