Welcome to the official website for Quint State 2016!

We hope you plan on joining us in Blacksburg, Virginia for the 40th annual Southeastern Symposium on Child and Family Development, or “Quint State”. The symposium is an annual conference organized by graduate students for graduate students, with the goal of encouraging student collaboration and professional development. Traditionally, the conference is composed of five southeastern universities (thus, “Quint”) that alternate hosting duties, however this year four hosting universities will be in attendance: University of Georgia,  Auburn University, University of Tennessee, and Virginia Tech. Additionally, students from Radford University, Appalachian State University, Florida State University, and East Carolina University have been invited in an effort to expand the Symposium’s reach and increase opportunities for networking and collaboration.

The conference will take place from Thursday, February 25th through Saturday, February, 27th, 2016, beginning with a welcome dinner on the night of February 24th. Students have no registration fees and will be provided with lodging by graduate students and food throughout the conference. Food and lodging preferences may be indicated on the registration form.
