LWA1 System Architecture

The LWA1 Radio Observatory is really two telescopes: LWA1 (on the left) plus the LWA North Arm “stub” station (inside the dashed box on the right).  ”DRs” are data recorders each with 2 attached 10-15 TB storage units (“DRSUs”).  An additional 5 outriggers with total-power calibration capabilities became available in Winter 2013.
