Graduate Student Input Requested!

In May, President Sands challenged the university to engage in a year-long visioning process called “Envisioning Virginia Tech – Beyond Boundaries.”

What is Envisioning Virginia Tech – Beyond Boundaries?

The project centers around four thematic areas of inquiry –

  • advancing as a global land-grant university,
  • preparing students for the world in which they will live and work,
  • envisioning the campus of the future, and
  • discovering new funding models.

INPUT REQUESTED:

We need GRADUATE STUDENT ideas STARTING NOW AND INTO SPRING!

HOW TO SUBMIT IDEAS:
  • Discussion forumis a collaborative digital space for thoughtful, innovative, and futuristic thinking.
  • Video vignettescapture the stories of Hokies—both students and the broader Virginia Tech community. Having a hard time predicting the future?  We ask that you share your story instead.

We are facing complex challenges, and we need your views to think critically about the future and learn from your experiences as a graduate student. Your voice will help shape the vision of Virginia Tech, and, in turn, will provide insight to more intermediate planning processes.

If you have questions, contact:

– Karen P. DePauw, Dean of the Graduate School, Steering Committee Memberkpdepauw@vt.edu
