  • Random Musing: King of the Jungle

474234While procrastinating my homework today I ended up on Somehow I ended up looking at all of their Disney articles and ruining my childhood one article at a time. I was already aware that Simba and Nala were actually half siblings, but after seeing videos and reading articles published to this site, The Lion King will forever be ruined for me. I’ll still watch it, because it’s The Lion King and it will always be amazing, but it’s tainted now.

Thinking about this movie made me question why the lion is the king of the jungle, though. Lions live in the sahara. The sahara is not a jungle, not even close. It’s dry and dusty with very little brush and a few random trees and a lot of rocks. Who decided this looked like the jungle and why were they allowed to stop attending school at such a young age (since we learn about the jungle starting in first grade)?

That said, now I have “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” stuck in my head…Ee-e-e-oh-mum-a-weh!

  • Random Musing: On Top of the World

I had never heard the song “On Top of the World” by Imagine Dragons until I started this project. The sample project about Video Star used this song for the music video created using the app. I’ve since fallen in love with the song and have listened to it on repeat for the last two days.

While I do enjoy the song, I think I may subconsciously be hoping that it will get my creative juices flowing. Obviously the creator of the Video Star project did a very good job on the project, so maybe if I listen to the song she was inspired by my work will earn a good grade as well…?

    I can hope, anyway.

  • Welcome to Six Days Short of a Week!

Hey y’all, welcome to my blog for Digital and Media Writing. It’s titled “Six Days Short of a Week” because my last name is Munday – spelled with a ‘U’ and forever confusing my teachers and anyone who has to file my paperwork.

My name’s Taylor and I created this blog as a place to track my progress on the assignments for class. I hope to post different decisions I’ve made in regards to the projects as I work on them. Eventually, each of the three major projects will be posted here, as well.

I’ve published an “About Me” page that includes information about why I’m taking this course and a little bit about myself. The “Site Info” section explains how to use the different areas of my blog and why I set it up the way I did. Finally, each of the three major assignments has its own page.

Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you enjoy Six Days Short of a Week!
